Operation in Yamasá: Ministry of Finance seizes illegal slot machines
The Ministry of Finance carried out an exhaustive inspection operation in various horse racing agencies located in the municipality of Yamasá, Monte Plata province. The main objective of this intervention was to detect and sanction the irregular operation of slot machines that lacked the necessary legal permits for their operation.
During the deployment, the authorities identified establishments that were not in compliance with current regulations, including the mandatory distance restrictions for this type of business. As a direct consequence of these irregularities, the inspectors proceeded to seize multiple machines and electronic equipment used for gambling without the proper authorization.
Security and institutional support
The operation had the strategic support of the Dominican Republic Army, whose members guaranteed the safety of the technical personnel throughout the inspection process. This collaboration reinforces the Government’s commitment to transparency and order in the gambling sector.
