Tragedy in Monte Plata: Young person loses their life in motorcycle accident
The community of Don Juan, in the province of Monte Plata, is plunged into grief following the passing of Kerlin Figueroa, a young man of just 18 years old who lost his life in a tragic traffic accident recorded recently.
According to preliminary reports, the incident occurred while Figueroa was traveling on his motorcycle. The young man reportedly lost control of the vehicle after hitting a dog that crossed his path, which caused him to crash violently into a tree. The severe blow to his head proved fatal.

Forensic pathologist Jhonatan Severiano, who was present at the scene, confirmed that the cause of death was severe traumatic brain injury. Unfortunately, the injuries were so severe that Figueroa died instantly at the scene of the accident.
The young man, who was widely known in the area, resided in the Triple Ozama sector with his mother. In terms of work, he served as a fare collector on the public transport route that connects Don Juan with Santo Domingo.
