Public health in Duarte province: Renovated Atabalero First Level Center delivered
Dr. Julio Landrón, executive director of the National Health Service (SNS), led the official handover of the renovated facilities of the Atabalero First Level Center (CPN) this Saturday. Located in the community of La Malena, in the Duarte province, this medical center marks a milestone for its residents as it has been rehabilitated after four decades of waiting.
With this intervention, the SNS seeks to raise the quality of medical care in the area, ensuring that the community’s inhabitants receive services in dignified and modern facilities. The work responds to a commitment to strengthen the public health network from its foundation: Primary Care.

The renovated CPN Atabalero has been equipped to offer comprehensive and efficient care. Among the highlighted improvements are:
- Fully equipped medical offices.
- Climate-controlled areas for greater comfort.
- Specialized vaccination unit.
- Pharmacy equipped for the constant supply of medications.
- Renovated spaces designed to optimize patient flow.
The delivery of this center is part of the strategic actions of the National Health Service to strengthen Primary Care, ensuring not only a better service for users, but also optimal working conditions for all healthcare personnel working in the community.
