Health services in Arroyo Barril strengthened with new investment in equipment
Within the framework of his recent visit to the province of Samaná, the executive director of the National Health Service (SNS), Dr. Julio César Landrón, carried out a supervision and medical equipment delivery day at the Arroyo Barril polyclinic. With an investment exceeding RD$400,000, the institution seeks to optimize health infrastructure and improve the quality of care provided to the residents of this area.
During the delivery, the head of the SNS was accompanied by the provincial governor, Teodora Mullix Geraldino, the mayor of Arroyo Barril, Luis Felipe Fermín Almonte, as well as various directors of hospital centers in the area. This delegation evaluated firsthand the necessary adjustments to ensure that the health center operates under optimal standards, maintaining uninterrupted service seven days a week.
Projection towards a diagnostic center
One of the key points of the tour was the announcement regarding the future of the facilities. Dr. Landrón reported that there are plans to upgrade the current polyclinic to a diagnostic center. This initiative responds to the significant demographic growth that the municipal district of Arroyo Barril has experienced and the imperative need to expand the range of medical services for the community.
