Claudia Sheinbaum ratifies permanent presence of federal forces in Sinaloa
The President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, confirmed that the deployment of the Army, the Navy, and the National Guard in the state of Sinaloa will remain indefinitely. This measure, a fundamental part of the federal security strategy, seeks to guarantee stability and protect the citizenry in the entity.
During the event titled “Honesty and results,” held in Culiacán as part of her working tour, the governor was emphatic in pointing out that the support of the federal government will not be withdrawn. “They will remain in Sinaloa supporting the governor and, above all, the people of Sinaloa,” she assured those in attendance.
Comprehensive strengthening and federal visits
The strategy is not limited to military presence, but will be complemented by a constant supervision scheme. Sheinbaum reported that members of her federal cabinet will make weekly visits to Sinaloa to address the priority demands of the region. Among the key areas that will receive attention are:
- Agriculture and Rural Development: direct support for local producers.
- Energy sector: joint projects with the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE).
- Infrastructure and health: construction of more than 400 free clinics with pharmacies, with construction scheduled to begin in October and opening expected by early 2027.
Social focus: the commitment to youth
Security policy should not be limited to the presence of police and military corporations, but must incorporate actions aimed at young people.
Claudia Sheinbaum, President of Mexico
For the federal administration, security in Sinaloa must be addressed through prevention and social development. In this regard, key initiatives for the youth of Sinaloa were announced:
- Construction of 20 additional high schools.
- Creation of 10 new sports spaces under the Mexico Imparable program.
- Integration of 5,000 young people into the Jóvenes Unen al Barrio program, focused on cultural, social, and educational activities.
With these actions, the federal government seeks to transform the social fabric of the entity, combining the operational strength of security institutions with welfare programs that provide real opportunities for new generations.
