Claudia Sheinbaum ratifies military deployment in Sinaloa to strengthen security
The President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, has confirmed that federal forces, including the Army, the Navy, and the National Guard, will maintain their operational presence in the state of Sinaloa indefinitely. This measure is a central part of the security strategy promoted by the federal government to ensure tranquility in the region.
The announcement was made during the event titled “Honesty and Results” in Culiacán, where the governor emphasized her commitment to the state’s governability. Sheinbaum underscored that federal support is a priority and ruled out any immediate withdrawal plans for the troops deployed in the area.
They are going to remain in Sinaloa supporting the governor and, above all, the people of Sinaloa.

Comprehensive approach: Beyond security
The federal strategy is not limited solely to the deployment of security, but seeks a comprehensive approach that includes social and economic development. To ensure the follow-up of this plan, the federal cabinet will make weekly visits to the entity to address specific needs in sectors such as agriculture, energy, and public services.
One of the fundamental pillars of Sheinbaum’s plan is the attention to the youth of Sinaloa, seeking to keep them away from violence through concrete opportunities. Among the highlighted actions are:
- Construction of 20 new high schools in the state.
- Enablement of 10 sports spaces under the Mexico Unstoppable program.
- Incorporation of 5,000 young people into the Youth Uniting the Neighborhood program, promoting cultural and social activities.
Infrastructure and health for Sinaloa
In addition to security measures, the federal government has outlined a roadmap to improve the quality of life for residents through infrastructure and health projects. The construction of more than 400 medical offices equipped with free pharmacies has been planned, with the goal of beginning operations starting in January 2027.
With these actions, the federal administration seeks to consolidate a care model that combines the presence of law enforcement with sustained social investment, aiming to transform the social fabric of Sinaloa in the long term.
