In the particular case of Casimiro Marte Familia, representative of Santiago Rodríguez, the disqualification covers two different records due to his corporate ties.

For example, the company ASETRAN, SRL, linked to Marte Familia, obtained eight contracts for RD$793,099 after their arrival at Congress in 2020. Likewise, companies related to Senator Gustavo Lara Salazar have received recurring awards under exception processes for advertising. For his company alone, L Gestión Proactiva Gespro, SRL, contracts amounting to RD$3,127,000 were identified during his legislative career.
The new regulation establishes a strict prohibition on contracting with the State, seeking to eliminate the conflicts of interest that historically allowed legislators to appear as suppliers to the very institutions they are meant to oversee.
