SeNaSa 2.0 Case: 13 defendants admit to the facts before the court

The Public Ministry, represented by Deputy Prosecutor Wilson Camacho, reported that a total of 13 people linked to the SeNaSa 2.0 case have admitted their participation in the events during the hearing for the request of coercive measures.

Given this scenario, the prosecuting body formally requested house arrest for nine of the defendants. As Camacho detailed, this request responds to the effective collaboration they have provided during the investigation phase, added to the signs of remorse and the public apologies offered by those involved before the court.

A portion of those involved has collaborated with the Public Prosecutor’s investigation and we, being consistent, as we have done in all cases, to the extent that individuals show remorse, admit to the facts, and even apologized before the court.

The legal process continues

The magistrate was emphatic in clarifying that the request for a less restrictive coercive measure for this group does not imply the closure of the criminal proceedings. The Public Prosecutor’s Office maintains its position of continuing with the investigations and due process against all those involved in the indicated corruption network.

The hearing to define the legal status of the defendants was postponed by the court. The process will resume next Sunday at 7:00 p.m., at which time the consideration of the coercive measures corresponding to this case will continue.
