Santo Domingo Oeste Mayor’s Office promotes works plan with an investment exceeding RD$182 million
The Mayor’s Office of Santo Domingo Oeste has launched an ambitious road and urban infrastructure program, after formalizing contracts totaling more than RD$182 million. This project, led by Mayor Francisco Peña, seeks to transform the environment of various communities through the strategic intervention of streets, sidewalks, curbs, and recreational spaces.
Detail of urban interventions
The work plan includes a series of fundamental projects to improve mobility and the quality of life for the municipality’s residents. Among the areas that will benefit are:
- El Palmar de Herrera: Construction of Benigno Méndez street and Escalones (Amor de Dios) street.
- Kilometer 13 of Sánchez Avenue: Reconstruction of Santa Teresita street.
- Lotería Sector (Hato Nuevo): Comprehensive intervention of streets 1 through 10.
- RIMAX Project: Improvements to Hermanas Mirabal, Profesor Juan Bosch, Francisco del Rosario Sánchez, Salomé Ureña, and Caonabo streets.
- Other areas: Targeted work in Pueblo Chico, San Miguel, and Bella Colina, including Esperanza and Samán streets.
This investment is a direct response to the needs of our people. We are intervening in this phase in the sectors already mentioned, because our commitment from the Mayor’s Office is to guarantee lasting works, quality asphalt, better sidewalks, renovated parks, and dignified urban infrastructure. We are not going to stop until we completely transform Santo Domingo Oeste.
Francisco Peña, Mayor of Santo Domingo Oeste
