Rodolfo Santos highlights the strengthening of municipalities under the administration of President Luis Abinader
Communicator Rodolfo Santos has positively assessed the recent initiatives of the central government, asserting that President Luis Abinader’s administration has established itself as a benchmark in strengthening Dominican municipalism. According to Santos, these actions reflect a real commitment to community development and efficiency in local management.
Waste management equipment
One of the key points highlighted by the communicator is the acquisition of 100 garbage collection trucks intended for local governments. Santos detailed that, to date, the first 50 units have been delivered, while the rest will be distributed soon. The main objective is to assist municipalities that, due to budgetary limitations, do not have the necessary resources to acquire high-cost machinery on their own.
The delivery of these vehicles strengthens the operational capacity of the municipalities and significantly improves the provision of essential services such as solid waste collection in the most needy communities.

Likewise, Santos described the work carried out by Andrés Bautista García in the process of acquiring this equipment as excellent, urging that political criticisms be set aside to focus on the direct well-being that citizens receive with the improvement in the cleanliness of their environments.
Investment in infrastructure and local development
Beyond the equipment, the communicator stressed that the current government administration has democratized the national budget, allowing for the execution of long-awaited infrastructure works. Among the projects mentioned are:
- Construction and paving of streets, highways, and local roads.
- Construction of bridges and primary care centers.
- Improvements in lighting and road maintenance through RD Vial.
- Interventions in ravines of Greater Santo Domingo to prevent risks.
Santos concluded by pointing out that constant support for local governments is a fundamental piece of current public policy, designed to bring the State closer to the citizenry and enhance the role of municipalities as the first level of contact with the Dominican population.
