Public Prosecutor’s Office seeks maximum sentence for the Espaillat brothers for the Jet Set tragedy
The Deputy Prosecutor and head of the Public Ministry’s General Directorate of Prosecution, Wilson Camacho, reaffirmed the strength of the judicial file against Antonio and Maribel Espaillat. During the start of the trial on the merits, the official assured that they have overwhelming evidence to achieve a conviction for the events that occurred at the Jet Set entertainment center.
The process seeks to clarify the criminal responsibilities derived from this tragedy, which left a toll of 236 dead, more than 80 injured, and a trail of pain for hundreds of Dominican families. According to Camacho, the Public Ministry formally presented its accusation and the evidentiary arsenal that supports its petition before the court.
