Pope Leo XIV celebrates his 71st birthday with a work agenda
Pope Leo XIV reaches 71 years of age this Monday. On his second anniversary since assuming the pontificate, the leader of the Catholic Church has decided to maintain his usual routine, prioritizing his official commitments and a series of meetings scheduled at the Holy See.
Following Vatican tradition, the pontiff’s birthday is not celebrated with official acts, as custom dictates that only his name day is commemorated. However, the affection of the faithful was felt since last Sunday during the Angelus prayer, when hundreds of people present in St. Peter’s Square surprised the Pope with congratulatory songs while he addressed the audience from the window of the Apostolic Palace.

To commemorate his day, Leo XIV will make an institutional visit to the Vatican Apostolic Library, where he will inaugurate an exhibition focused on water. This event marks the beginning of the five-year cycle titled “Catastrophe and Wonder”.
