The PRM leads political sympathy according to the results of Polls
The Dominican political landscape has been the subject of a recent analysis by the polling firm Sondeos. According to the study conducted between September 22 and 25, 2026, the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) is positioned at the forefront with 41% favorability among the citizens consulted.
In the breakdown of party preferences, the Fuerza del Pueblo is in second place with 24%, followed closely by the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD), which reaches 20% support. On the other hand, the proposal identified as “Santiago Matías (Dominicanos Primero)” registers 7% support in this poll.
Additional measurement details
- 5% of respondents stated they do not sympathize with any political organization.
- 1% leaned towards other options.
- 2% preferred not to provide any response.
Perspectives on the 2028 elections
The survey also explored citizen perception regarding the potential winner of the 2028 elections. Faced with this question, the results showed that 43% of participants believe the PRM will emerge victorious. In contrast, 28% bet on the Fuerza del Pueblo, while 21% point to the PLD. The “Santiago Matías (Dominicanos Primero)” segment obtained 6%, and 2% did not provide a definite answer.
It is important to highlight that these percentages reflect the current opinion of those surveyed and do not represent a definitive prediction of the future electoral result.
For the realization of this study, a representative sample of 1,200 cases was taken, applying a 100% in-person work methodology, which provides greater technical rigor to the data collection presented by Alofoke Deportes.
