Santo Domingo Metro restores operations on Line 2 following technical failure
The Metropolitan Transport Company (EMT) confirmed that service on Line 2 of the Santo Domingo Metro was fully restored at 8:39 p.m. this Tuesday. The interruption was due to a technical malfunction located at the García Saleta Traction Substation, which forced the temporary suspension of rail traffic between the Pedro Bonó and Ramón Cáceres stations.
Following a quick intervention by the institution’s technical team, the breakdown was resolved, allowing train circulation to return to normal throughout the entire route scheduled for the night.
As a token of appreciation for our users’ patience and understanding, the service will remain free for the rest of the day.
