Jack Nicklaus drives the development of Las Iguanas Golf Course in Cap Cana
Golf legend and renowned designer, Jack Nicklaus, recently visited Cap Cana to personally oversee the progress of Las Iguanas Golf Course. Accompanied by his Jack Nicklaus Signature Design team, the former American athlete followed up on the construction of this ambitious project, which currently has its first nine holes fully operational.
The official schedule establishes that all 18 holes will be completed by the end of 2026, with a full opening of the facilities projected for the spring of 2027. This project reinforces the Destination City’s commitment to sporting excellence and luxury tourism.
A long-standing strategic alliance
The collaboration between Nicklaus and Cap Cana has been consolidated over two decades, having as its cornerstone the iconic Punta Espada Golf Club, which will celebrate its twentieth anniversary in 2026. During his stay, the designer highlighted the close professional relationship he maintains with the Hazoury family.
It is a pleasure to return to the Dominican Republic to continue being involved in this new phase. We are working meticulously to integrate the course with the natural conditions of the terrain, maintaining the quality standard that characterizes our designs.
