INABIE clarifies requirements for school lunch suppliers
The executive director of the National Institute of Student Welfare (INABIE), Adolfo Pérez de León, has cleared up doubts regarding the selection criteria for school lunch providers. According to the official, the institution does not require previous experience or a minimum length of time in business for companies or entrepreneurs to participate in the contracting processes.
This position seeks to foster the inclusion of new actors in the system, allowing both entrepreneurs and emerging organizations to have the opportunity to be part of the food supply chain for public sector students.
In the specific case of school lunch contracting, neither experience nor a minimum period of participation is required.
