FEDA promotes development and social inclusion in Hatillo, San Cristóbal
The Special Fund for Agricultural Development (FEDA) carried out a successful social inclusion day in the municipal district of Hatillo, San Cristóbal province. The event brought together more than 500 people, who benefited from various training programs, medical assistance, and direct support for local production.
The initiative, executed under the guidelines of the executive director of FEDA, Hecmilio Galván, seeks to decentralize institutional services to ensure that residents of rural areas have direct access to opportunities for economic growth and social welfare.
Comprehensive support for producers and entrepreneurs
During the operational deployment, the attendees were able to integrate into key programs such as Madres del Campo, Emprende RD, and FEDA en tu Comunidad. These platforms are designed to foster an entrepreneurial spirit and strengthen the productive capacity of the region’s inhabitants.

The meeting featured active participation from community leaders, young entrepreneurs, senior citizens, and representatives of the local agricultural sector. Through these types of activities, the FEDA reaffirms its commitment to continue promoting agricultural and social development through a management model that is close to the people.
Pablo Ramos, administrative manager of FEDA, highlighted that these workshops are fundamental to strengthening the social and economic fabric of Dominican communities, promoting self-sufficiency and improving the quality of life for the most vulnerable sectors.
