Demand clarification on the detention of a Haitian citizen in Las Galeras
Family members and members of the Las Galeras community, in the province of Samaná, have raised their voices to request a clear explanation from the authorities regarding the detention of Jeison Domínguez, a Haitian citizen who was intercepted during an immigration operation last Friday, October 2nd.
The procedure, which was carried out around 5:51 in the morning, was led by the Interdiction Department under the coordination of Colonel José R. Hernández Ángeles, ERD. According to local reports, Domínguez is well-known in the area for his work as a motorcycle taxi driver, being described by those close to him as a hardworking person with exemplary conduct.

Uncertainty has gripped residents following reports of a possible excessive use of force during the arrest.
