Residents of Los Guaricanos request urgent intervention on Sánchez Street due to drainage problems
Residents of the Los Guaricanos sector, in Santo Domingo Norte, have raised their voices to request an immediate intervention on Sánchez Street from Mayor Betty Gerónimo. The community is on high alert due to a trench that accumulates large amounts of water every time it rains, posing a constant threat to the stability of their homes.
According to the complainants, the situation has worsened following the recent downpours, leaving water stagnant for prolonged periods. This not only hinders pedestrian and vehicular traffic, but has also created a source of unsanitary conditions that affects the quality of life of those who reside in the area.
We can no longer stand the bad smell. That water stays there and when it rains more, it fills up to the brim.
