Stellar performance on the diamond
Adonis Medina shined in his start against the Leones del Escogido on October 16th. Tributes to career achievements and sports journalism
The ACD took the opportunity to honor two fundamental figures of baseball and communication: former Major League pitcher Carlos Pérez and the prominent journalist Williams Aish.
This recognition for Aish, a sports editor, is part of a new initiative by the ACD that seeks to highlight the work of sports editors from the main Dominican media outlets, acknowledging their contribution to strengthening sports journalism in the country.
A tradition that evolves
The “Star Ballplayer of the Week” award, which dates back to 1957, remains under the direction of the ACD, presided over by Américo Celado, with the coordination of Franklin Núñez and Frank de la Cruz. According to Celado, the goal is to restore the splendor to this historic award, consolidating a meeting space between the protagonists of the game and the communicators.
- The awards ceremony will take place every Monday at 12:00 noon at Súper Bets.
- The event brings together executives, players, and prominent members of the national press.
- The ACD reaffirms its commitment to recognizing excellence in Dominican winter baseball.
