Tragedy in Puerto Plata: 19-year-old dies by drowning in Altamira river
A day that promised to be one of leisure ended in a regrettable event in the Los Llanos community, located in the municipality of Altamira, Puerto Plata. A 19-year-old young man lost his life after drowning in the waters of the Los Gansos River, leaving a deep void in his loved ones and the entire locality.
The deceased was identified as Yelfry Alexander Sandoval. According to preliminary reports, the young man was enjoying a moment of recreation in the tributary in the company of a relative when the incident that led to the emergency occurred.
