Historic Alliance: USA 250 and Sports Leagues Unite to Celebrate the Anniversary of the U.S.

The White House has announced an unprecedented collaboration with Fanatics, America250, a bipartisan group created by Congress, and prominent sports leagues such as MLB, MLS, NASCAR, NBA, NFL, and NHL, as well as UFC and WWE. The goal is to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States this year. This strategic alliance will see the incorporation of the USA 250 patch and logo on uniforms and sports equipment, which will be displayed at emblematic events throughout the year. Next weekend’s Super Bowl already anticipates this novelty, with images of New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks jerseys already displaying the commemorative patches. The initiative will encompass a wide range of highly relevant sporting events:
  • NBA Finals
  • Stanley Cup Final
  • All MLB and minor league games on July 4th
  • MLB Home Run Derby and All-Star Game
  • WrestleMania 42
  • The UFC event at the White House in June
  • MLS season opening weekend
Fanatics will also be in charge of designing and producing commemorative fan apparel for the champion teams, incorporating the distinctive logo. Originally, this collaboration was scheduled to be presented on Tuesday at the White House, in the Oval Office. However, the event was postponed due to the winter storm Fern. It has not yet been confirmed whether it will be rescheduled. The presentation ceremony was to be attended by important figures from the world of sports, who were cited in the official statement on Friday, including NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, NBA commissioner Adam Silver, and MLB commissioner Rob Manfred.
