Jessica Friesen reported on social media that Stewart has an unstable pelvic fracture, which means his pelvis is broken in multiple places, in addition to a considerable hematoma in the area. A fracture in his right leg was also confirmed. A CT scan ruled out injuries to the head, neck, and spine. A video of the accident shows Stewart Friesen’s truck impacting an outside wall, overturning, and then catching fire. The vehicle landed hard on the track and was hit by another truck before coming to a stop on its wheels. Jessica Friesen expressed her gratitude to the track team for their patience and care in rescuing her husband from the vehicle. Stewart Friesen is expected to be transferred to a hospital in New York on Wednesday, where he will undergo multiple surgeries.

We want to thank everyone here at the Trois-Rivières, Quebec hospital for the excellent care, and to several members of the racing community who have helped make Stewart closer to home. The great support from our entire racing family has been overwhelming, in the best way.
