Joey Logano, the current NASCAR Cup champion, achieved his first victory of the season in an action-packed race.
After a complicated weekend, which included a problem in the post-race inspection of his teammate Austin Cindric and a verbal altercation with his team, Logano started from the 27th position on the starting grid in Texas.
Despite these setbacks, Logano proved his worth by leading only seven of the 271 laps, emerging victorious in the eleventh race of the year.
After what happened last week, being able to recover and come back immediately, is the ’22’ way of doing things. Very proud of the team.

In the final restart, Logano passed teammate Ryan Blaney on the backstretch and held his position for the final laps, securing the 37th win of his career.
Logano took the lead for the first time on lap 264, passing Michael McDowell. McDowell, who led 19 laps, suffered an incident that relegated him to 26th position.
There’s always a story the next week, right? I told my wife last week before we left: ‘Watch me win this one.’ That’s how we do things.
