Kyle Larson dominated Sunday’s race at Kansas Speedway, securing his second consecutive spring victory.
Larson, starting from the pole position in his No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports car, led 221 of the 267 laps, winning both stages and securing his third victory of the season in the NASCAR Cup Series. He faced no significant challenges from Christopher Bell, who finished in second place.
I’m glad I didn’t win by an inch this time. A slightly safer margin.

Larson, with previous wins at Homestead and Bristol, has maintained a consistent performance, finishing in the top four in the last four races. Now, with this momentum, he prepares for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
On Tuesday, Larson will begin preparing for “the Double”, a challenge that involves running all the laps of the Indianapolis 500 and the Coca-Cola 600 on the same Memorial Day weekend.
In the race, despite leading much of the day, Larson briefly found himself behind Chase Elliott. However, a mistake in Elliott’s pit stop allowed Larson to regain the lead and secure the victory.

Christopher Bell, with three previous victories, achieved his sixth top three of the season, while Ryan Blaney placed third.
I was just trying to get to the end. I know Ryan was coming on really strong.

Chase Briscoe finished fourth and Alex Bowman, Larson’s teammate, rounded out the top five.
Brad Keselowski, who seemed to be heading for his first top 10 of the season, suffered a problem with his right rear tire that took him out of the competition.
It was going to be a great day. I heard a big bang and spun around. It’s a shame.

Denny Hamlin also experienced problems, struggling with a clutch issue that ruined his day.
The next race will be the All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro.
