Denny Hamlin Wins at Dover, Securing His Fourth Victory of the Season

Hamlin, at 44 years old, joked about the difficulties of age when invited to sign a surfboard for a charitable cause. Although still seeking his first championship, Hamlin focuses on accumulating victories and leaving a lasting legacy in the sport. Hamlin’s victory came after a setback in court with his team 23XI Racing, but the driver showed that adversity does not affect his performance on the track. Hamlin joins a select group of 19 drivers who have won three times at Dover and is the thirteenth to achieve consecutive victories at this track.I thought I had done everything I needed. I thought I had it for a second. I wish the Camry, the back end, was about 3 centimeters shorter. I was so close to getting it done. I just couldn’t do it. Obviously, running with a teammate, I wanted to make sure at least one JGR car won.
