Investigation into Robbery at the Residence of Former NASCAR Driver Greg Biffle
Authorities are investigating an alleged robbery at the residence of Greg Biffle, a renowned former NASCAR driver, located in North Carolina. The incident, which involves breaking and entering and theft, was reported last Thursday at Biffle’s house in Mooresville, according to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office report. Sheriff Darren Campbell reported that investigators believe someone accessed a safe inside the property. In addition to $30,000 in cash and a backpack listed as stolen in the report, weapons and valuables are also reported missing.Campbell added that interviews are being conducted as part of the investigation. So far, no arrests have been made and it was confirmed that no one else was in the residence at the time of the alleged crime. The report indicates that the property was last secured on the afternoon of January 7th. This event occurs after the tragic death of Biffle in a plane crash last December. The plane, an executive jet carrying Biffle, his wife, two children, and three other people, crashed on December 18 while attempting to return to an airport in Statesville, about 72 kilometers north of Charlotte, a few minutes after takeoff. Federal investigators indicated that the Cessna C550 caught fire upon impact with the ground, near the runway. All people on board lost their lives. The cause of the accident has not yet been determined. Biffle was one of the three passengers with a pilot’s license. The authorities have not revealed who was the main pilot of the flight. A public memorial ceremony is scheduled for Biffle, who won 19 races in the NASCAR Cup Series during his career, and the other six victims of the accident. We are working on the case. We are waiting for digital evidence,
Sheriff Darren Campbell
