DAYTONA BEACH, Florida – The 68th edition of the Daytona 500, known as “The Great American Race”, has modified its start time due to adverse weather forecasts. The green flag will be waved now at 2:13 p.m. ET at the Daytona International Speedway.

William Byron seeks a historic three-peat

William Byron has the ambition to make history. The driver will seek to become the first racer to win the Daytona 500 for three consecutive years. Byron took the victory in the last edition, in extra time, after an incident involving Denny Hamlin on the last lap, generating a multiple crash. Byron managed to overtake eight cars on the final lap to secure his place on the podium.

Kyle Busch on pole position

Kyle Busch secured the number one starting position in Wednesday’s qualifying, achieving his first pole position in the Daytona 500. Busch prepares for his twenty-first participation in the Daytona 500, with the goal of breaking the longest winless streak on the circuit.
