William Byron Wins at Martinsville and Secures a Spot in the NASCAR Final
In an exciting race at Martinsville Speedway, William Byron achieved a crucial victory that grants him a place in the Championship 4 of the NASCAR Cup Series.
Byron, driving the No. 24 Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports, pulled off a spectacular maneuver in turn 1, bumping Ryan Blaney and securing first place with 43 laps remaining.
“I think William had the race of his life,” commented Jeff Gordon, Hendrick’s vice president, after Byron’s victory.

Byron led most of the race, with a total of 304 laps out of 500, achieving his third win of the season and the sixteenth of his Cup career.
This victory marks a milestone for Byron, being his first in a playoff elimination race and his third at Martinsville.

The final will take place at Phoenix Raceway on November 2nd, where the champion will be the driver with the best result among the four finalists.
With Blaney and Logano out of the title race in Phoenix, Team Penske’s streak of three consecutive championships comes to an end.
Hamlin, who had engine problems, and Briscoe, who also suffered a mechanical failure, will seek to recover in the final.
Briscoe, who had already secured his place in the Championship 4, expressed his determination for next week.
