BROOKLYN, Mich. – Chase Briscoe earned his third consecutive pole position and fourth of the year in NASCAR, the most so far, this Saturday at Michigan International Speedway.

Briscoe, driving the No. 19 Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing, achieved a lap of 195.514 mph during qualifying on the 2-mile oval. This mark represents the fastest pole in the Cup Series since Ryan Blaney exceeded 200 mph in Texas in 2018.

The driver is looking for his first victory of the year, after having achieved five finishes in the top five, and the third victory of his career.

It will be good to start in the lead and we have been able to do it now for three weeks in a row, but we haven’t been able to execute it. So, let’s hope the third time’s the charm.

Kyle Busch, with the No. 8 Chevrolet, will start second on Sunday in the FireKeepers Casino 400.

Denny Hamlin, in the No. 11 Toyota, qualified in third place, while William Byron, points leader with the No. 24 Chevrolet, placed fourth.

The defending race champion, Tyler Reddick, with the No. 45 Toyota, will start in the 12th position for 23XI Racing, a team that is currently in a legal dispute with NASCAR.
