Bell Wins in Bristol

Bell, starting from fourth position, staged a spectacular comeback, leading the last four laps of the 0.533-mile oval. This victory marked the end of a 24-race winless streak and was his fourth win of the season.

It wasn’t easy in the end, but we did it. We know that any week can be ours, and it hadn’t been for a long time. But Bristol, tonight is ours!

With this victory, Bell joins his JGR teammates, Denny Hamlin and Chase Briscoe, as playoff winners in the first round. The competition was intense, with Alex Bowman, Austin Dillon, Shane van Gisbergen, and Josh Berry being eliminated from the fight for the championship.

I’m very excited about the start of the playoffs.

Brad Keselowski, looking to break a 51-race winless streak, finished in second place, followed by Zane Smith, Ryan Blaney, and Joey Logano. The race was marked by 14 yellow flags, setting a season record, due to the difficulties of the drivers with a new right-side tire that caused excessive wear and more pit stops. The playoff drama intensified when a fire broke out in Austin Cindric’s car. Although his team managed to extinguish the flames, Cindric lost several laps in the pits and finished outside the top 30. However, his thirtieth position secured him the last spot for the second round.

Moving forward. I believe in this team. I believe in myself. I haven’t been driving as well as I am now in the Cup Series.

Austin Cindric
Ty Gibbs led the most laps, but a mistake on his final pit stop cost him valuable time. Josh Berry was the first driver eliminated, with a fire in his car.

Simply disappointing. That was going to be a lot of fun. We were making progress. It’s been a couple of tough weeks, but it hasn’t been due to performance. We executed well and ran well, we just haven’t had the results.

Josh Berry
Bell, known for his calmness, expressed his frustration after the previous race, where he finished seventh. He mentioned the frustration of seeing his teammates Denny Hamlin and Chase Briscoe get victories. The second round of the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs will begin on Sunday, September 21st at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
