The world of mixed martial arts is preparing for an unprecedented event. According to former President Donald Trump, the expected UFC function at the White House will take place on June 14th. The announcement was made during a speech in Norfolk, Virginia, coinciding with Trump’s 80th birthday.

“On June 14th of next year, we will have a big UFC fight at the White House, right on the White House grounds,” Trump declared.

Although the UFC has not yet confirmed the date, the event is expected to be held in the South Garden, as part of the commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the Independence of the United States. UFC CEO Dana White has revealed significant details about the event. The official presentations will take place at the Lincoln Memorial, and it is estimated that just replacing the White House lawn after the event will cost $700,000. White also mentioned that the fighters will walk to the octagon from the Oval Office. White has also indicated that the UFC will not begin scheduling fights for the event until the first quarter of 2026. The former two-weight champion, Conor McGregor, has expressed his interest in facing American Michael Chandler at this event. Jon Jones, who retired from MMA earlier this year as the best fighter of all time, has also expressed his desire to return specifically for this card.
