Fighter Arman Tsarukyan proved his worth as one of the best lightweights in the world on Saturday, by submitting Dan Hooker in the main event of UFC Fight Night in Doha, Qatar. This victory was crucial for Tsarukyan, who needed to regain his place in the division’s rankings.
After more than a year and a half away from the octagon, Tsarukyan returned with a dominant performance, securing his return to the top 2 of the 155-pound fighters.
In other news regarding the rankings, the welterweight division also experienced changes. Ian Machado Garry’s victory over Belal Muhammad caused a shift in the rankings. Garry moved up from number 5 to number 4, while Muhammad dropped three positions, landing at number 6.
