Tsarukyan Climbs MMA Rankings After UFC Victory

4 Min Read

Arman Tsarukyan proved his worth as one of the best lightweights in the world on Saturday, submitting Dan Hooker in the main event of UFC Fight Night in Doha, Qatar. The victory was crucial for Tsarukyan, who had not competed in the octagon for more than a year and a half.

This triumph also allowed Tsarukyan to regain a place in the divisional ranking of Alofoke Deportes. After entering the fight unranked due to his inactivity, Tsarukyan delivered a performance solid enough to rise to second place among the 155-pound fighters.

The other change in the rankings occurred in welterweight, where Ian Machado Garry’s victory over Belal Muhammad altered the power dynamics. Machado Garry moved up from fifth to fourth place, while Muhammad dropped three positions, landing in sixth place.
