Trump Considers Hosting a UFC Event at the White House

Former President Donald Trump has revealed plans to hold a UFC event on the grounds of the White House, as part of the festivities for the 250th anniversary of the independence of the United States. Trump, a known UFC enthusiast and close friend of the organization’s president, Dana White, made the announcement during an event in Des Moines, Iowa, marking the start of the July 4th, 2026 celebrations.
President Donald Trump attended UFC 316 last month with UFC president Dana White. Trump said Thursday that he is thinking of staging a UFC match on the White House grounds with upward of 20,000 spectators.
The former president has attended several mixed martial arts events in recent months, and this initiative would reflect his interest in the sport. The event, which would be held on the grounds of the White House, could accommodate between 20,000 and 25,000 spectators, according to Trump.

“We have a lot of land there,” Trump said.

In addition to the UFC event, a festival is planned at the National Mall in Washington, D.C., and a sports competition for high school athletes from across the country. A White House spokesperson indicated that no further details were available beyond those provided by the former president, but press secretary Karoline Leavitt stated that Trump was “serious” about these plans. The fighter Conor McGregor has shown interest in participating in a possible fight at the White House.

Count on me!

I spoke with White about it. Trump has been greeted with ovations and has enjoyed front-row seats at several UFC events recently.
