Last-Minute Change: Tatsuro Taira to Face HyunSung Park in UFC Fight Night Main Event

The UFC has made last-minute adjustments for Saturday’s UFC Fight Night main event at the Apex in Las Vegas. Flyweight contender Tatsuro Taira will face a new opponent, HyunSung Park, as announced on Monday.

Taira, ranked as number 6 in the UFC flyweight division, was originally scheduled to face Amir Albazi in a five-round bout. However, Albazi was forced to withdraw for undisclosed reasons.

Park, who debuted in the UFC in 2023, was going to fight Steve Erceg on August 9, but will now compete a week earlier in the main event on Saturday.

Taira, from Japan, suffered the first defeat of his career in October, losing by split decision to Brandon Royval.

Park has proven to be a formidable competitor, finishing three consecutive opponents inside the octagon. Furthermore, he has managed to finish his rivals in his last seven fights, since 2018.
