Baisangur Susurkaev Debuts at UFC 319 After Contender Series Victory

Promising fighter Baisangur Susurkaev has been scheduled for his UFC 319 debut, which will be held on Saturday in Chicago. This announcement comes just four days after Susurkaev secured his contract in Las Vegas, following an outstanding performance in the Contender Series. Susurkaev, with an undefeated record of 9-0, will face Eric Nolan (8-3) in the preliminary card of the event, which will take place at the United Center. The 24-year-old achieved an impressive first-round knockout during the Contender Series on Tuesday, earning him praise from UFC CEO Dana White.

White promised to schedule Susurkaev’s debut in the Octagon as soon as possible, and he delivered by offering him a fight in less than 24 hours.

It is worth noting that Susurkaev accepted the Contender Series fight with only four days’ notice. This is the fastest transition of a Contender Series fighter to their UFC debut, a milestone that will hardly be surpassed unless the UFC modifies its schedule. Representing Chechnya, Susurkaev will join the UFC 319 fight card, which includes his compatriot Khamzat Chimaev, who will seek his first championship against Dricus Du Plessis in the main event. In his career, Susurkaev has achieved seven first-round finishes in his nine fights. His opponent, Nolan, will also be making his UFC debut, arriving with a four-fight winning streak, including knockouts in his last three fights.
