Suarez Rises: MMA Strawweight Ranking After Convincing Victory

Tatiana Suarez, after her recent fight in February for the UFC strawweight title, did not achieve victory. However, her performance on Saturday’s card could have put her on track for another opportunity. Furthermore, her position in Alofoke Deportes’ divisional ranking has improved.

Seven months ago, Suarez, undefeated until that moment, faced Zhang Weili for the championship, after dominating her opponents with her wrestling. Although Zhang defended her title successfully, Suarez’s victory on Saturday over Amanda Lemos propels her to fourth place in the rankings.

The main event on Saturday, with Diego Lopes’ victory, keeps him in the number 3 spot in the featherweight division.Other changes in the rankings were due to the requirement that fighters compete in the last year or have a scheduled fight.
