Revealed Fight Card for Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua on December 19th
Most Valuable Promotions has announced the preliminary fights for the Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua event, which will take place on December 19 at the Kaseya Center in Miami. The evening will be broadcast live on Netflix. The fight card largely maintains the structure of the event originally scheduled for Jake Paul and Gervonta Davis. Alycia Baumgardner will defend her unified super-featherweight title against Leila Beaudoin, remaining as the co-main event. However, Anderson Silva will not face Chris Weidman at the start of the main card. Instead, also former UFC champion Tyron Woodley will face Silva in a six-round cruiserweight bout. Both Silva and Woodley have been defeated by Jake Paul in the past. Silva lost by unanimous decision to Paul in 2022, while Woodley suffered two defeats against “The Problem Child”, one by split decision in August 2021 and another by knockout in the rematch in December of the same year.Weidman was forced to withdraw from the fight against Silva due to an injury. Woodley, who held the UFC welterweight title from 2016 to 2019, will seek his first boxing victory against one of the most prominent champions in MMA history.I believe that changes always happen for a reason. I am focused on doing a good job. Always respecting my opponent and showing total respect for the world of boxing.
