Revealed Fight Card for Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua
Most Valuable Promotions has unveiled the preliminary fights for the Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua event, scheduled for December 19th at the Kaseya Center in Miami, which will be broadcast live on Netflix. The card largely maintains the structure originally planned for Paul’s match with Gervonta Davis. The co-main event will remain the unified super featherweight title defense of Alycia Baumgardner against Leila Beaudoin. However, a significant change has occurred: Anderson Silva will not face Chris Weidman in the initial fight of the main card. Instead, Tyron Woodley, also a former UFC champion, will step into the ring to face Silva in a six-round cruiserweight bout. Both Silva and Woodley have suffered defeats against Jake Paul in the past. Silva lost by unanimous decision to Paul in 2022, while Woodley lost both fights against “The Problem Child”, one by split decision in August 2021 and the other by knockout in the rematch in December of the same year.Weidman was forced to withdraw from the fight against Silva due to an injury. Woodley, who held the UFC welterweight title from 2016 to 2019, will seek his first boxing victory against one of the most prominent champions in MMA history.I believe that changes always happen for a reason. I am focused on doing a good job, always respecting my opponent and showing total respect for the world of boxing.
