Royval vs. Kape to Headline Final UFC Event of 2025
An exciting flyweight matchup between Brandon Royval and Manel Kape will be the main event of the final UFC card in 2025, scheduled for December 13 in Las Vegas.
Both fighters confirmed the five-round contest through their social media. The UFC Fight Night event will take place at the Apex.
Royval and Kape, ranked number 3 and 7 respectively in the flyweight division, will face each other for the third time this year. Originally, the fight was scheduled for March 1st, but Royval (17-8) withdrew due to an injury. It was then rescheduled for UFC 317 in June, but Kape (21-7) also had to withdraw due to injury.
Royval, training in Denver, accepted a last-minute substitution at UFC 317 against 23-year-old Joshua Van. Royval lost by decision in a fight that was recognized as the Fight of the Night.
Before this defeat, Royval had achieved consecutive split-decision victories against Brandon Moreno and Tatsuro Taira.
Kape has won six of his last seven fights, including a knockout over Asu Almabayev in March.
