Rampage Jackson’s Son Arrested for Assault on Professional Wrestler
Raja Jackson, son of former UFC champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault after a brutal attack on a professional wrestler. The news has caused a great stir in the sports world. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department website, Jackson was arrested and booked on Thursday morning. He is currently being held on $50,000 bail. As of yet, no further details about the pending case have been revealed. The arrest occurred almost a month after Jackson, 25, was caught on video assaulting professional wrestler Stuart Smith (also known as Syko Stu) at the KnokX Pro Wrestling Academy in Los Angeles. In the video, Jackson is seen entering the ring, hitting Smith until he is unconscious, and continuing to hit him. Several other fighters intervened to separate Jackson from Smith, after which Jackson fled the academy, located in the Sun Valley neighborhood of Los Angeles. The incident was broadcast live and widely disseminated on social media. Smith spent several days in intensive care before being discharged on August 31. Subsequently, he detailed the injuries suffered as a result of the assault on Facebook, indicating that he suffered a “serious brain injury”, as well as “trauma to both jaws, a laceration on the upper lip and a fracture in the maxilla, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of several teeth”.
