Meanwhile, the PFL (Professional Fighters League) continues to seek its own identity in the world of MMA. After experimenting with a season and playoffs format and a direct elimination tournament, the PFL returns to a traditional fight format. Starting Friday and for the next five weeks, the PFL will bring its events to major cities in the United States and Europe, presenting exciting fights.

PFL Madrid: A New Champion?

Date: Friday, Prelims at 1 p.m. ET on ESPN+Main Event: Costello van Steenis vs. Fabian Edwards This is the only championship fight scheduled in this series of events. Van Steenis, current middleweight champion, will put his title to the test against Edwards. Van Steenis won the belt by submitting Johnny Eblen in the last round, a triumph that raised doubts about his reign.
