In a stellar, action-packed fight, Alex Pereira proved his worth by defeating Magomed Ankalaev by TKO in the first round, thus reclaiming the UFC light heavyweight championship in the main event of UFC 320 held in Las Vegas. Pereira, from the start, imposed his rhythm, cornering Ankalaev against the cage. A powerful blow sent Ankalaev to the canvas, where Pereira finished the fight with an effective ground-and-pound. This victory marks a milestone for Pereira, becoming the third fighter to win the light heavyweight title on multiple occasions. Ankalaev had previously defeated Pereira by unanimous decision at UFC 313, taking the belt from him earlier this year.
