PFL Announces Headline Fights for Event in Lyon, France
The Professional Fighters League (PFL) has confirmed two title fights to headline its December 13 event in Lyon, France. The LDLC Arena will be the stage for exciting matchups that promise to keep fans on the edge of their seats.
Nemkov vs. Ferreira: Clash of Giants in the Main Event
In the main event, Vadim Nemkov, former Bellator MMA light heavyweight champion, will face Renan Ferreira, winner of the 2024 PFL tournament. This fight promises to be a clash of styles and a test of skill for both fighters.
Nemkov (19-2) will look to consolidate his position at the top of the PFL, while Ferreira (13-4) will try to prove that his victory in the tournament was not a fluke.
Cyborg vs. Collins: Women’s Title on the Line
Cris Cyborg and Sara Collins will compete for the PFL women’s featherweight title. Both championships are vacant, which adds even more excitement to the evening.
Cyborg (28-2), former UFC and Bellator MMA champion, will seek to add another title to her impressive career. Her opponent, Sara Collins (6-0), arrives undefeated to the fight, which makes her a dangerous rival.
Ngannou’s Future in the PFL
The PFL has not announced concrete plans for Francis Ngannou, who signed with the promotion in 2023 and has only fought once.
Ngannou has focused on boxing, facing Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua. He returned to MMA in October 2024, defeating Ferreira by TKO in the first round.
Cyborg, 40 years old, is the most prominent figure of the event. After her debut in the PFL in October 2024, she defeated Larissa Pacheco by unanimous decision, establishing herself as one of the best fighters in the world.
Cyborg has been active in boxing, achieving knockout victories in March and May 2025. She will face Collins, who hasn’t fought in over a year, but is coming off a submission victory over Leah McCourt.
