Former UFC champion Rose Namajunas underwent eye surgery on Tuesday to repair the damage suffered during her fight with Natalia Silva at UFC 324. Namajunas, 33 years old, lost by decision to Silva in the event held last weekend in Las Vegas. Namajunas herself shared details about the surgery through her social media.

Her husband, Pat Barry, confirmed that the procedure was completed.

I’m going to have surgery. Canalicular tube surgery. They poked my eye several times in the fight. My tube is broken, so they’re going to fix it now. I’m going to have a silicone tube in my eye. Three months, pray for me, guys. I’m glad we can fix it.

Silva was not penalized for any eye pokes during UFC 324.
