Former UFC Fighter Suman Mokhtarian Murdered in Sydney
The mixed martial arts (MMA) world is in mourning following the murder of Suman Mokhtarian, former UFC fighter and renowned coach. Australian police are investigating the incident, which occurred in Sydney, as a premeditated attack. Mokhtarian, 33, was found dead on Wednesday night in Riverstone, after being shot several times. Despite the efforts of the emergency services, the wrestler died at the scene. Mokhtarian competed in the UFC in 2018 and 2019, before dedicating himself to training. He played a fundamental role in the development of young MMA talents at the Australian Top Team, alongside his brother Ashkan Mokhtarian. Authorities established a crime scene and began a thorough investigation to clarify the details of the murder. A statement from the New South Wales police confirmed the incident and the discovery of a burned vehicle nearby, suggesting a possible connection between the two events.The incident occurred around 6 p.m. on Annaluke Street, Riverstone. Officers found Mokhtarian with gunshot wounds. Although paramedics from the New South Wales Ambulance attended to him, he died at the scene. Formal identification of the man is still pending. Shortly after, emergency services were alerted to a vehicle fire on Riverstone Road, near Clark Street. Firefighters extinguished the flames, but the vehicle was destroyed. Police are investigating whether there is a connection between the two incidents. Mokhtarian’s student, Jesse Swain, shared a moving tribute on Instagram.“I couldn’t sleep tonight after hearing the news.
