Tsarukyan Climbs Lightweight Rankings After Dominating Hooker at UFC Fight Night
Arman Tsarukyan proved his worth in the lightweight division by submitting Dan Hooker in the main event of the UFC Fight Night held in Doha, Qatar. This victory was crucial for Tsarukyan, who had not competed in the octagon for more than a year and a half.Saturday’s triumph allowed Tsarukyan to regain a spot in ESPN’s division ranking. Entering the fight unranked due to his inactivity, Tsarukyan delivered a strong performance that catapulted him to second place among 155-pound fighters.
Regarding the changes in the rankings, Ian Machado Garry moved from number 5 to number 4 in welterweight, after his victory over Belal Muhammad. Muhammad, for his part, dropped three positions and now occupies sixth place.
