An anticipated middleweight bout between Anthony “Fluffy” Hernandez and Reinier de Ridder has undergone an unexpected change. Hernandez has been forced to withdraw from the fight due to an unspecified injury.
The news was confirmed by official sources. De Ridder, however, will remain on the card and will now face Brendan Allen instead.
The 185-pound matchup will be the main event of UFC Fight Night in Vancouver.

Hernandez expressed his regret for the situation through his social media, apologizing to the UFC and De Ridder, and stating that he is focusing on his recovery to return stronger.
De Ridder will seek his fifth octagon victory in less than a year. Recently, he secured a split decision win against Robert Whittaker in July.
Allen, a four-year UFC veteran, comes into this fight after a notable decision victory over Marvin Vettori in July, during UFC 318.
