Milwaukee Brewers Extend Winning Streak with a Commanding Victory

In an impressive offensive display, the Milwaukee Brewers defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates with a score of 12-5, extending their winning streak to 12 games. The Milwaukee team demonstrated their prowess on the field, securing their second consecutive victory with a double-digit score and the fourth this month.

William Contreras led the offense with four RBIs, while Christian Yelich added three more runs. The team connected for a total of 12 hits, although only two were extra-base hits.

Sal Frelick and Joey Ortiz each contributed two RBIs, and Isaac Collins added an RBI for the Brewers. With this victory, the 12-game winning streak becomes the second-longest of the season, surpassed only by the Twins, who achieved 13 consecutive wins.

During this streak, the Brewers have outscored their opponents by a margin of 64 runs.

Bryan Reynolds hit two home runs for the Pirates, including a three-run homer in the fifth inning and another two-run homer in the sixth.

In the sixth inning, with the score at 6-5, Ortiz and Frelick received consecutive walks. Collins advanced the runners with a sacrifice bunt, setting the stage for Contreras to hit a solid hit that drove in three runs, extending Milwaukee’s lead.

Contreras has had multiple hits in each of his last four games, accumulating 10 hits, including three home runs and 12 RBIs during the home series.

Brandon Woodruff pitched four scoreless innings, while Jared Koenig earned the win. Mitch Keller, the Pirates’ starting pitcher, was only able to pitch four innings, allowing eight runs.
